Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2022

Since the existense of Brussels Airlines till today, i never heard anything positive about this company. It is always something downthere: social turmoil, strikes, red numbers, lack of funds etc. Year in, year out, 20 year long already. I agree that the post covid is creating a lot of problems as we...

Re: (Belgian) flight crew

Hello Bracebrace Tx for replying. It is that PLF form which is giving me headache. If you fill in that form you have to point out that it is for business u have to fill in a number. To get that number my employer has to fill in EVERY WEEK a BTA form concerning my whereabouts. If that form is approve...

(Belgian) flight crew commuting to Belgium

Hi I am pilot, living in belgium but working abroad. My base is abroad and have to commute every week. Now with this corona crisis we have to fill in a plf form which is not really designed for flight crew. On top of that ppl from abroad have to do a test and going into quarantaine. I am looking for...

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2020

Very tough decision of the crew. Above V1 and aborting TO, not very obvious and the crew has to be 100% sure of why doing. I am really curious what investigation will bring up.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

Once again: If and only If SN is going bust, what will happen with the slots??? I would not surprised LH let SN deliberately go bust. But they never wanna leave BRU behind because it would mean extra competition.(and that in these hard times, they can miss that as the pest) My gamble: they will try ...

.... i would rather think SN going bust and to replace them with Eurowings.

Does anybody know, lets say, SN will go bust, do the slots going back or does LH retain them??

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

Hi I am not an expert in aviation business, but can it be an idea that CS has no intention at all to save Brussels Airlines. Asking 100 million extra sounds for me a bit like an intention to let the negotiations fail on purpose. Perhaps the real plan is to let BA go fail and get those Eurowings bird...

Re: Air Antwerp in 2020

Well, my reasoning is, since AMS is just a milestone away from ANR and easy reachable by train, why would you allow your ‘partner, to compete with you going to the same destination?

But that is just me reasoning like that.

Just curious how all this will evolve.

Re: Air Antwerp in 2020

Aberdeen was actually a short-lived, but good selling route. But then again, maybe air antwerp shouldn’t be doing the same routes that already failed 2-3 times with VLM. At the other hand, they are backed by KLM, so if they look for good niche markets it will be a success for sure. But KLM is flyin...

Re: Air Antwerp in 2020

Very nice footage. Tx I am really wondering what future Air Antwerp has in mind. Ok the ANR-LCY is back. Good load factors, enough freq’s, again stability. Like the old days. All nice, but i am wondering what their vision is. You don’t start a new company just to operate 1 single route and that’s it...

Just a pure speculative question: let’s say Brussels Airlines is going bust. What happens with the slots? Does Lufthansa own them or will they be put back on the “market”?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

I am not an expert in management but can it be a plan of LH waiting to see SN going bust and then refill the open slots by their own aircraft based in Brussels?? Cause in the end, they got SN for very cheap money. It happened in my ex company as well. The mother company lets 1 daughter going bust, a...
