Where was this picture taken?

Could be an AWACS or Sentry during military exercise, doing large patterns high in the sky.

My guess is also for a Britannia/Thomasonfly plane. Defenitely not a 757, but a 767 series! My guess is the short one, although not sure.

Skystef,

Is the MH cruising E or W bound on your picture? I guess it is E bound?

Anyway, normal routing is more North, but can vary due to weather (winds).

Pawel,

Malaysia mostly passes over the Netherlands, routing RENDI REFSO (westbound), thus passing overhead Rotterdam. A lot of Singapore airline planes have the same routing. It is also used by QF, BA, EK, QR .

I've never seen any MH plane contrailing over Belgium.

Skystef,

did you manage to make a picture of the AI 777 on Sunday eve? It was contrailing to BHX on the same route a few minutes behind the Dynastie 747 to MAN...

It was a wonderful sight in the setting sunlight...

Brubiac,

As Frederic already mentioned, the 340 most likely belongs to Gulf Air. A4O-LB visited EGLL today and passed overhead Belgium around noon as GF002.

The 747 of ELAL was most likely operating flight LY315 LLBG-EGLL. ID: 4X-ELA

Guys, girls, SIN-EWR SQ 22 is most likely flown over the pacific. EWR-SIN SQ21 is most likely flown over the atlantic. I've never seen reports SQ22 flying overhead Europe. SQ21 is normally flying higher North than Belgium. Flying Eastward means full advantage of the jetstream. This is far more impor...
