Interesting, I guess this is the response to the new ETOPS regulations, and more, AA's expansion, maybe done to keep up with Delta?? Interesting news though. Agreed. Delta definitely has the greatest presence in Europe by a long way. Asia might be great for growth potential but Europe still is the ...

30 orders before the end of the year is rather unlikely unless its already been confirmed and pending announement. Air India is very likely to order for 747 replacement but only around 15-20. JAL again, very unlikely because of their history with Boeing but can't be ruled out. They definitely need v...

The 'gas busters' might not be completely out of service till 2013. It all depends on where CX will put the new B773ERs. The new ones delivered this year will be used for North American expansion and if the A340-600s go next year (which they might) more 773ERs will be needed to replace them as well....

fierce cheeks here lol First of all, very pleased with the orders although i was expecting a slightly bigger order for A380. With over 50 B744s surely more will be ordered if indeed the A380 is to replace the 744s. Again, i also have to point out like others have, that A380, because of its size does...

Dragonair's resuming flights to Kathmandu, Nepal this December. Four times a week with A320. Loads of nepali immigrants who have so far put up with Nepal Airlines (RA) should find this a refreshing choice. With Cathay Pacific, the group will have the best conncections to North America and Japan of a...

Hong Kong Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding for 51 Airbus aircraft at the Paris Air Show in June. I wasn't aware of that. Can anyone confirm it? Well, you can't have your cake and eat it too, can you? Airlines are mostly using the B757s on transatlantic routes where demand is too low to operate widebodies. If they were forced to operate larger aircrafts on routes like PHL-GLA and ERW-BFS, there wouldn't be any service at all. There is always...

Cathay has 12 A330s delivered between 1995-98, if the older A330s were indeed to be replaced, they would be the first to go. At the moment, Cathay has 5 A330 deliveries pending over the next 2 years, during which they will surely want to expand their regional operations. So i doubt any of the older ...
