Air New Zealand
This morning Air New Zealand announced that it was replacing 8 of its Boeing 777-200s with Boeing 787-10s. These will have GE engines where as ANZs existing 787s have Rolls Royce engines. They also have taken Options on 12 more Dreamliner's.

These are all 500s. Air New Zealand has a number of 600s on order

Issues with Engines seems to be on going with Qantas. Sure they are a large airline but the Australians have grounded Tiger for what would largely seem like maintenance issues

A worrying trend appears to be developing at Qantas with more and more Engine or Airframe problems
Some are blaming the outsourcing of maintenance to Singapore and Germany

Air New Zealand tested a Bio fuel today made from 50:50 jatropha and Jet fuel
The two hour flight involved it being used in one engine of the Boeing 747-400 aircraft

Thanks for that I have not posted very often so still learning I have flown Qantas myself many times and up until about 3 years ago found them to be absolutely brilliant with both ground and in flight service Lately I have found ,Broken Seats, Toilets that don't work,Staff that are too interested in...
