Re: BRU infrastructure: future

I am curious to see how the airport will handle this. An FR flight with 25 min. ground time, you need at least 4 busses per rotation to run this operation smoothly. 2 for arrival and 2 for departures.

It is not going to be easy for sure...

Re: Airlines that flew from BRU

Hewa Bora flew to BRU as well. I think first with the Tristar later with a 757-200 and then with a 767-200.

I can't remember the period should have been around 2005 and later?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

OO-SSL just landed after his 2nd attempt. 1st attempt on final no gear down and a turboprop like sound on one of the engines. I was thinking of a birdstrike?

2nd attempt same sound but normal for the rest.

About the remote stands, i've heard that SN will test position 126, 138, etc. So the Ryanair and Easyjet positions.

There were some power cuts this morning at the airport. Maybe that is why the website was offline?

Correct, but then ample time to load their bags onto the plane. I guess he is referring to the "check bagage" procedure. When passengers using the fast lane spend more time in the duty free shops because they think they can just walk through security, and then suddenly the fast lane is ov...

Re: Ryanair in 2014

I am convinced that the exploitation of personnel, not just pilots btw, at FR can't last, and they shouldn't last. I am not saying it will happen in the near future, bus sooner or later, either actions will break out, or things fall apart due to shortage of personnel... Well, i am almost daily in c...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport

Manual loadsheet is just standard Ryanair procedure.

DCS is for loadmessages to the destinations and for boarding, check in, etc. Heard that Ryanair is looking for an electronic load sheet solution in the future.

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport

No need to believe anything sean, swissport still runs on the old Sabena software; we can look straight into your figures, so no need to pull out a show here, manual loadsheet or not. ;) If you can check the software, then you saw that the outbound flights were more or less full? Inbound was a bit ...

Re: Ryanair: the Brussels launch event

I guess cnc is referring to manpower but they are hiring so maybe Swissport can continue to provide enough manpower to keep the rotations as low as possible. I don't know if you saw the arr and dep times but rotations at BRU are a bit longer. Don't really know the reason for that. For example the FC...

Re: Ryanair: the Brussels launch event

It is not horrible at all, a bit nose heavy but not that much. Passengers are divided automatically across the cabin to achieve a more or less ideal situation. Never had trim problems with the load sheet (it's manual).

cnc wrote:first time i noticed but do all FR 737's have stairs? waste of weight if you ask me but it makes sense why they always load in the rear holds now
On the contrary, Ryanair standard loading is as much as possible in hold 2 (forward hold).

But there is not too much luggage to be loaded in the holds.

Re: Ryanair passengers held hostage

Example in BRU: At BRU with Flightcare/Swissport, sometimes they tell you that someone is on the way to handle your aircraft and no one shows up for 1 hour... A delay on another aircraft and the dispatcher will find himself going from aircraft A to aircraft C... who handles aircraft B? Ask the SN m...
