Sky-Watch RQ-35 – Heidrun

Danish drone manufacturer Sky-Watch has been selected under a NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) framework agreement, enabling participating nations to purchase its RQ-35 Heidrun unmanned aircraft system and associated in-service support.

Awarded through NSPA’s AGS & UAS Programme on behalf of the UAS Partnership, the framework provides member nations with a simplified procurement channel. It does not itself constitute a confirmed aircraft order, and no contract value, quantities or delivery timetable were disclosed.

The RQ-35 Heidrun is an unarmed, fixed-wing system designed for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance missions. According to Sky-Watch, it has been deployed in Ukraine and other conflict zones, with portability and resistance to electronic warfare among its principal features.

Chief executive Martin Schousboe said the agreement would help participating NATO nations acquire unmanned capabilities more quickly than through some national procurement procedures.

Sky-Watch, part of US-listed AIRO Group Holdings, is expanding its international activities and production capacity in response to demand for unmanned systems. The company sees the framework as a platform for further growth across NATO markets.
