XL Airways to fly direct from Bordeaux to Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe) in Winter 2019

Good news for winter sun lovers: French airline XL Airways will be flying direct from Bordeaux to Pointe-à-Pitre from 9 December 2019. Booking is now open.

Flight times:
Mondays from 9 December 2019 to 24 March 2020.

Bordeaux – Pointe-à-Pitre :
Flight SE1170, departure time 10.45 arrival time 14.25

Pointe-à-Pitre – Bordeaux :
Flight SE1171,  departure time  16.25 arrival time 05.20 (D+1)

We are delighted to welcome XL Airways to the Bordeaux runways with this flight to Guadeloupe. It offers the people of Nouvelle-Aquitaine a magnificent opportunity to escape to a  faraway destination and sunshine in the middle of winter, which is made simple with a direct flight and attractive prices,” announced Pascal Personne, Director of Bordeaux-Mérignac airport.

The flights are operated on single-class Airbus A330-200 aeroplanes equipped with the XL Cloud wireless entertainment system.

The one-way trip is on offer from €239 and includes a hot meal and a snack.

XL Airways is the only airline company flying directly to the French Antilles from regional capitals. Besides Bordeaux, the airline will also fly from Lyon to Pointe-à-Pitre and from Toulouse and Nantes to Fort-de-France next winter, in addition to their direct flights  from Paris CDG.

They are a response to a simple and legitimate demand among customers: to be able to leave from near home, thus avoiding stressful transit via large airports.
