WOW air, the Icelandic low-cost airline, flies one of the youngest aircraft in the world with an average age of 2.9 years. On their web site you can find some more information about the registration names they use.
The WOW Airbus family:
TF-WOW
Type: A330-300 / Year of Manufacture: 2015 / Seats: 343
TF-WOW was the first aircraft registration name acquired by WOW air after being awarded the Air Operator’s Certificate in 2013. It now adorns one of our Airbus A330 aircraft which was added to the WOW fleet in early summer 2016.
TF-MOM
Type: A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2014 / Seats: 200
The second aircraft to get a WOW registration was TF-MOM. It was also the first aircraft bought and delivered to WOW air in March 2015. Our MOM is one of only two officially named aircraft in the WOW fleet as she’s also known as Freyja after the Nordic goddess of love.
TF-DAD
Type: A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2014 / Seats: 200
If you register a TF-MOM it goes without saying that you should have a TF-DAD too. Delivered to WOW air in March, 2015, our DAD is also known as Óðinn, the Nordic god of wisdom and travel. TF-DAD is the only WOW aircraft that’s not painted purple but it has the same impressive sharklets as TF-MOM.
TF-GMA
Type: A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2016 / Seats: 220
TF-GMA is short for Grandma, but don’t let the name fool you. She’s a 2016, straight-out-of-the-box, Airbus A321-200. The brand new matriarch joined the WOW fleet at the end of May 2016 and has room for 220 guests in a single class configuration.
TF-GPA
Type:A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2016 / Seats: 220
TF-GPA, short for Grandpa, joined the WOW fleet in June, 2016. Just like Grandma, our Grandpa is also a straight-out-of-the-box, Airbus A321-200., and has room for 220 guests in a single class configuration. Together Grandma and Grandpa love visiting Canada and the East Coast of USA, it keeps them young!
TF-JOY
Type: A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2016 / Seats: 220
The newest member of the WOW family arrived just in time for the Christmas season, bearing the joy. TF-JOY might just as well have been wrapped and with a bow as it came straight from the assembly line at Airbus.
TF-GAY
Type: A330-300 / Year of Manufacture: 2010 / Seats: 338
TF-GAY was delivered to WOW air in June 2016 and visits San Francisco as often as it can, in between visits to Amsterdam and other cool and happening places around Europe. TF-GAY is a 2010, Airbus A330-300, wide-body aircraft, a truly efficient machine with seats for 338 guests and a flight range of over 6,000 nautical miles.
TF-LUV
Type: A330-300 / Year of Manufacture: 2015 / Seats: 343
It wouldn’t be a family without a whole lot of love, so naturally we had to have a TF-LUV as part of the family. This self-acclaimed harbinger of love was delivered to WOW air in early summer 2016 and is a 2015 Airbus A330-300 wide-body aircraft with 343 seats in a single class configuration.
TF-BRO
Type: A320-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2010 / Seats: 174
Our big brother is rather petite compared to the rest of the family, but he more than makes up for it with efficiency. Servicing WOW air since September of 2015, this hard working 2010 Airbus A320-200 aircraft has been carrying up to 174 guests to various destinations around Europe since he first joined us.
TF-SIS
Type: A320-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2010 / Seats: 174
TF-BRO’s twin sister is similarly petite and, being a 2010 Airbus A320-200, also has that same efficient, no-nonsense character. TF-SIS and TF-BRO were delivered to WOW air at the same time in September 2015, and they’ve been hard at work in Europe ever since. Both have extensive weight-saving composites and an optimized wing that is 20 percent more efficient than previous designs.
TF-KID
Type: A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2013 / Seats: 200
Delivered to WOW air in February 2016, this Airbus A321-200 aircraft has really done its job, decreasing the seat-mile costs while increasing the availability of seats to many of WOW air’s most popular European destinations. And because of her long range, she can also go all the way to the East Coast of USA and Canada if she wants.
TF-SON
Type: A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2013 / Seats: 200
TF-SON, like TF-KID, is quite crafty, offering the best seat-mile costs of any single-aisle aircraft and seating capacities comparable to that of a wide-body jetliner. Delivered to WOW air in March 2016, TF-SON, a 2013, Airbus A321-200 aircraft, is set up in a 200 seat, single class configuration. Great for both European flights and transatlantic flights between Europe and USA’s East Coast and Canada.
TF-NEO
Type: A320-200neo / Year of Manufacture: 2017 / Seats: 180
The NEO stands for “New Engine Option” as it has a brand new CFM LEAP-1A engine that offers a 15% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and a 50% cut in NOx emissions – in addition to being among the quietest aircraft ever built. If you’re lucky enough to catch a ride with TF-NEO be sure to enjoy the silence, and the subtle mood lighting. Fancy!
TF-PRO
Type: A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2017 / Seats: 218
Say hello to one of our young professionals of the sky. All of our aircraft are total pros, but this one gets to be TF-PRO. Delivered in May 2017 with newly designed interior in WOW air’s style, it gives genuine comfort and is truly amazing.
TF-WIN
Type: A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2017 / Seats: 218
We like winning, and TF-WIN well represents our ambition. Delivered in May 2017 with newly designed interior, WIN serves both our European and North American destinations.
TF-NOW
Type: A321-200 / Year of Manufacture: 2017 / Seats: 218
Make sure you are present in the NOW and fly with TF-NOW in glamorous style. Delivered to WOW air in June 2017 with newly designed interior, TF-NOW travels to both Europe and North America.
TF-SKY
Type: A321-200neo / Year of Manufacture: 2017 / Seats: 218
The sky is the limit for some, but for WOW air we aim further when it comes to technology. TF-SKY was delivered in June 2017 and has a brand new CFM LEAP-1A engine. WOW air is the first airline in Europe to operate the A321 neo aircraft. It offers A321 operators exceptional technical, economic and environmental performance, with a 15% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions versus current engines and a 50% cut in NOx emission.

Contrarily to what some people think, there is a lot of logic in these registrations. I’m not at all desperate to see that!
SU-GAY is a frequent visitor of Ostend Airport and UR-GAT was on 1 January 2018 at Brussel Airport
It’s TF-GAY !!! I like the idea behind it!
