Employees are very active on social media, today VLM raised the “hats or no hats for cabin crew” – question on Facebook. In the past weeks VLM posted the following messages on Facebook, clearly stating their intentions: re-building the network, flying 6 Fokkker 50 end 2016, hiring pilots (Fokker, Airbus A320 and Airbus A330) for (long-haul ?) operations in 2017/2018.

VLM is preparing its operations and is looking for pilots to join the growing group of VLM crews. Initially starting with F50 (Fokker) operations end of this year (2016), there will be F70, A320 and A330’s joining the fleet in 2017/2018.
VLM is looking for type-rated captains and first officers for operations to and from Belgium and other European countries.
