VLM Airlines trustees signed an agreement in principle for the acquisition of the airline by SHS Antwerp Aviation (Netherlands). VLM plans to resume operations with six Fokker 50s once a new AOC is obtained (end 2016).
Employees are very active on social media, today VLM raised the “hats or no hats for cabin crew” – question on Facebook. In the past weeks VLM posted the following messages on Facebook, clearly stating their intentions: re-building the network, flying 6 Fokkker 50 end 2016, hiring pilots (Fokker, Airbus A320 and Airbus A330) for (long-haul ?) operations in 2017/2018.
