Swiss airline Germania has already announced its first scheduled flights for the next winter season – with direct services from Zurich to La Palma, Mallorca, Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Beirut. All flights are bookable with immediate effect.

Germania A320

The 2017/18 winter season will see Germania offering non-stop services from Zurich to the Canary and Balearic Islands, Egypt and Lebanon. All flights can be booked immediately.

The Egyptian sunshine destinations of Hurghada and Marsa Alam on the Red Sea are ideal holiday destinations to which to escape the cold Swiss winter climate. With their warm and welcoming water and air temperatures, Egyptian resorts are particularly popular among divers, deep-sea anglers and snorkellers, as well as wind and kite surfers, sailing and other water-sports enthusiasts. Less active vacationers can simply rest and relax on the spacious sandy beaches or at their hotel pool. From the start of November 2017 until the end of April 2018, Germania will fly three times a week (Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays) from Zurich non-stop to Hurghada and once weekly (every Thursday) direct to Marsa Alam.

Germania will also fly once weekly (every Wednesday) to the Canary Island of La Palma. The small volcanic ocean island is up to 40 percent covered by woodland and known as the “Isla Verde” (Green Island). Due to its small surface area of just over 700 square kilometres and its mountain massif with the 2400 metre high Roque de los Muchachos, La Palma has relatively many slopes compared with the other Canary Islands. A network of well-signed trails makes the island a paradise for hikers, while other activities include mountain biking and horse-riding excursions. La Palma is also popular with divers and beach-lovers – several beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag certification for their superior standards of envi-ronmental quality.

The popular Germania “classics” Mallorca and Beirut are also already bookable for next winter. Non-stop flights from Zurich will be operated to the Balearic island twice a week (Mondays and Fridays) in November 2017 and from the beginning of March to the end of April 2018. Services to the Lebanese capital will operate twice weekly (Thursdays and
Sundays) throughout the winter season.

Flights for the 2017/18 winter season are already bookable online on www.flygermania.com, from our Service Center under +41 (0)43 508 34 89 and from travel agencies as well as se-lected tour operators. One-way tickets start from CHF 69. On all Germania flights, passen-gers are permitted a free baggage allowance of at least 20 kg. Depending on flight duration, fares also include snacks or a hot meal. Soft drinks, newspapers and magazines are always included, as well as well taxes and fees.
