Germania will not relaunch with new owners, the company that filed for bankruptcy on 5 February 2019, has been liquidated.
“German airline Germania will be wound down after all suitors backed off. We literally rolled out the red carpet for those who were interested. Unfortunately, nobody could or wanted to go about it,” liquidator Ruediger Wienberg said, “lack of time – less than two months to find a solution – was the culprit.”
Around 1,400 employees are affected by the demise.
