The eagerly awaited new all-jet flights to Paris Charles De Gaulle and Düsseldorf from Bristol Airport operated by bmi regional take off today, Monday 27 April.

The Bristol to Paris service will operate six days a week, with two flights a day Monday to Friday, and one flight on Sunday. Bristol-Düsseldorf will fly six times a week, Sunday to Friday.

The flights bring the number of Bristol routes served by bmi regional to eight, alongside Aberdeen, Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt, Milan and Nantes* in France.

One-way fares from Bristol to Paris start at £69 and fares to Düsseldorf start from £79, including all taxes. As standard, all fares include at-seat in-flight full bar and snack service, 20kg of checked baggage and 30-minute check-in.

Peter Simpson, CEO of bmi regional, said: “The launch of bmi regional’s Paris and Düsseldorf routes from Bristol mark another milestone in our expansion. The double-daily weekday service to Paris Charles De Gaulle is conveniently timed for business passengers who can now have a full day of business in the French capital, rather than having to overnight.

He added: “Düsseldorf is the centre of the Rhine-Ruhr and an international business and financial hub, renowned for its fashion and trade fairs, and bmi regional is the only airline to connect businesses in the South West directly to the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia.”

Shaun Browne, Aviation Director, Bristol Airport said:
We welcome the additional routes on bmi regional’s network from Bristol Airport. It is a further demonstration of bmi regional’s commitment to Bristol. The addition of these flights provides connectivity for the business traveller to two major European business hubs. The timings of the Paris flights will enable the busy business traveller to depart Bristol early in the morning and return the same day, saving valuable time without the necessity of staying overnight. Both Paris and Dusseldorf also has lots to offer with a wealth of culinary delights and cultural history suitable for the city break traveller. These new destinations will be shortly joined by another new route to Nantes commencing early summer.
