With a fantastic combination of new destinations and services, strong gains in total passengers and improved load factors, bmi regional outclassed all other airlines at Munich Airport to win this year’s Munich Exchange Award. bmi regional, which launched its first service in Munich on 13 May 2013 with a flight to Bristol, has since added connections to Rotterdam, Bern, Brno and Liège.
Representatives of around 40 airlines gathered at the invitation of FMG, the Munich Airport operating company, for the 16th edition of “Munich Exchange”. The winner of the Munich Exchange Award, bmi regional, was announced at the Municon conference centre during the conference. bmi regional were delighted to win this year’s award presented by Andreas von Puttkamer (right), the head of Munich Airport’s Aviation Division, and accepted gratefully by Ian Woodley, the Board member Executive of bmi regional, who was joined by his Chief Commercial Officer Jochen Schnadt (left).
