A bmi regional Embraer 145 skidded from the runway at Bristol Airport

A bmi regional Embraer 145 registered G-CKAG operating flight BM1822 from Frankfurt skidded from the runway at Bristol Airport this afternoon. After the plane landed around 11:30 local time, it left the asphalt for an unknown reason during taxiing. No one was injured, according to the airport.

There were 25 persons (22 passengers and 3 crew) on board the Embraer. They were removed from the plane and taken to the terminal by buses.

The aircraft was built in 1999 and has been flying with bmi only since July 2017; previously it flew for HOP!

Through social media, the airport informed that the runway is temporarily closed. Flights with destination Bristol are diverted to surrounding airports or do not depart from their departure airport.

Because the airport has only one runway, the delays are running up quickly. On Twitter, passengers complain that they get little information from the airport.
