Flybe connects capital cities: Two flights per week from Berlin to Cardiff as of now

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, based in Exeter, is celebrating the introduction of its new flight connection between Berlin-Tegel (Germany) and Cardiff. Twice per week, every Wednesday and Saturday, the British airline is offering this new route in its 2016/2017 winter flight plan. As of now, passengers can book a one-way non-stop flight from 45 Euros*.

We are proud to once more expand our services from Germany and to be able to offer business travellers and tourists a new, quick connection between Germany and the UK. It is thrilling to be able to fly to Berlin-Tegel airport, which is just 8 kilometres from the German capital”, says Vincent Hodder, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer.

The new route is clear proof of our vision for the future and the joint efforts that were made in the past few years to connect important cities. With this connection between Berlin, the German Capital, and Cardiff, the biggest Welsh city, it will be easier for our passengers to travel between the two countries”, says Debra Barber, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Cardiff Airport.

Cardiff is already Flybe’s third destination from Berlin-Tegel. The Welsh city is a jewel, away from mass tourism, and is an exciting travel destination for visitors from Berlin and the German state of Brandenburg” says Dr Karsten Mühlenfeld, Chairman of the Executive Board at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. “We are just as excited that visitors from Wales will be able to discover the German capital region, Berlin-Brandenburg, thanks to Flybe”.
