Share

airberlin added a new year round flight between Berlin and Sofia. The flight leaves Berlin-Tegel every day at 15:05 pm and arrives in Sofia at 18:15 pm. The return flight departs at 19:00 pm and reaches the German capital at 20:15 pm. In addition, the early morning flight of Bulgaria Air, airberlin’s codeshare partner, is available with an airberlin flight number for travelers from Bulgaria as well. Especially business travelers benefit from the codeshare flights as they can fly in and out of Berlin within one day. In addition, the Bulgaria Air flights between Sofia and Varna are bookable as codeshare flights.

Both airberlin’s flight and the flight of Bulgaria Air are very well connected with airberlin’s route network via the German airline’s hub Berlin. Travelers can choose from various flight options with convenient connection times in Berlin. For example, Scandinavian destinations such as Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg and Helsinki are reachable with only one stop. Within Germany, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Saarbrucken and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden are connected as well. By taking the morning flight of Bulgaria Air, travelers from Sofia reach airberlin’s long-haul flights to New York and Chicago from Berlin-Tegel. Starting with the winter schedule Miami and Varadero will also be connected.

On long haul flights, airberlin’s Business Class provides a high level of privacy, comfort and individual service. Every guest has direct access to the aisle from the lie-flat seat. In Economy Class, 48 XL seats per aircraft on long-haul flights offer passengers 20 percent more legroom, ensuring added comfort and faster embarking and disembarking. The website Skytrax* confirms that airberlin provides the most generous seat spacing on transatlantic flights in Economy Class throughout the industry.

All flights can be booked on https://www.airberlin.com, by telephone around the clock from the Service Centre on (Tel: +49 30 3434 3333) and from travel agents.
