Air Italy would like to advise that it has reached an outline agreement with Alitalia and the Regione Sardegna with respect to the Olbia PSO routes.
Details are still being finalised, but Air Italy’s core objective of protecting the livelihood of its staff in Olbia and investment in Sardinia over the past 50 years has been achieved thanks to the commitment of its shareholders.
“This has undoubtedly been a very challenging period for all parties,” said Air Italy Chief Operating Officer Rossen Dimitrov. “But today, thanks to the commitment of our shareholders and the efforts of both the Regione Sardegna and Alitalia, we have reached an outline agreement which delivers on our core requirement – protecting the 500-plus staff in our Olbia headquarters and allowing us to continue to serve Sardinia as we have done for more than half a century.
“We will now be finalising details so that we can put flights on sale as soon as possible to provide Sardinians and tourists with a great 2019 summer season.”
