The announced recapitalisation of Adria Airways in the amount of 4 million euros is completed. The payment will be intended for further business development and growth of the Slovenian airline.

The capital injection of at least 10 million euros is planned for the first quarter of 2019.

Comment: The 4 million euros necessary for the recapitalisation were provided by 4K Invest, the major shareholder of Adria Airways. This comes in addition to the 10 million euros promised by the shareholder for the first quarter of 2019.

The decision was adopted taking into the account the firm commitments and strong beliefs of the owner in the successful future of the Slovenian airline which is becoming one of the strongest regional air carriers, operating scheduled and ACMI services in Central and South East Europe.

We work hard to position Adria Airways for stable business and further growth. We already achieved substantial development and we will continue to expand the potentials of this company and build it even stronger airline in the future,” said Holger Kowarsch, Managing Director of Adria Airways.

Adria Airways has indicated that its CRJ and Airbus fleet would be used essentially for ACMI contracts (leasing to Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, Austrian Airways and Luxair), retaining the future SSJ100 fleet for its scheduled flights. The Saab2000s will leave the fleet.
