Flix takes majority stake in Flibco, expanding into airport shuttle services

Share

Flix has acquired a majority stake in Flibco, a European digital airport-transfer platform, marking a strategic expansion into the airport-shuttle segment while preserving Flibco’s existing management, operations and asset-light business model. The investment strengthens Flix’s position across European travel markets and complements its core long-distance intercity offering.

Flibco, previously owned by Luxembourg-based SLG (formerly Sales-Lentz Group), will continue to operate independently under its current leadership, with SLG remaining a minority shareholder and strategic partner. The company will stay headquartered in Luxembourg, with CEO Tobias Stüber and the full management team remaining in place.

The acquisition allows Flix to broaden its mobility portfolio beyond city-to-city travel into dedicated airport connections. While Flix already serves numerous airports through its long-distance bus network and has launched airport shuttles in selected markets, Flibco brings an established presence in seven European countries (including a strong presence at Brussels South Charleroi Airport), working with local bus partners through a digital-first, platform-based approach that closely aligns with Flix’s own operating model.

Customers will continue to book airport-transfer services via Flibco’s existing channels, while Flibco routes will also be integrated into the Flix platform, enabling combined bookings across Flix’s wider network.

Both companies highlighted shared ambitions to scale airport mobility across borders, leveraging Flix’s technology, reach and platform capabilities alongside Flibco’s operational expertise. The partnership is positioned as a growth catalyst, aimed at accelerating expansion while maintaining a fully digital, reliable and affordable travel experience for passengers.
