Key traffic figures Zurich Airport March 2019: +1.2%

In March, 2’421’744 million passengers passed through Zurich Airport, corresponding to an increase of 1.2% compared to last year.

The number of local passengers was 1’666’351 in March 2019, which is no change compared to March 2018. The transfer rate is at 31.0% in the month under review (+0.9 percentage points vs. previous year) and transfer passengers increased by 4.3% to 750’128.

In March 2019, air traffic movements remained at the previous year level with 22’071 movements. The average passenger per movement figure decreased to 124.5 (-0.2% vs. previous year). The average seat load factor is at 75.5% (-1.8 percentage points vs. the previous year).

In March 2019, a total of 42’231 tons of freight were transported at Zurich Airport. This corresponds to a decrease in freight volume of 4.5% compared to last year.
