On 17 September, a United Airlines Boeing 737-900 (N38424) from Washington Dulles to Seattle as UA326 was cleared for take-off at Washington’s runway 19C (center) but aborted its take-off as the air traffic controller also approved crossing of a SkyWest Embraer 175 on the same runway.

According to air traffic control audio posted on the following YouTube movie, the pilot of the United Airlines flight informed the controller he had aborted the takeoff because he saw another plane on the runway.

The controller asked: “Did I clear you for takeoff there?

The pilot answered, “You did clear us for takeoff, sir.
