Saab has been selected by the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) to deploy its next-generation Digital Tower at Warsaw Modlin Airport, marking Poland’s first remote-controlled airport tower. The operations centre will be based at PANSA’s premises in Warsaw, enabling all-weather remote air traffic control with future scalability to other airports.

The system features Saab’s Digital Tower Suite, including 4K cameras, advanced controller displays, and a multilateration (MLAT) system for enhanced tracking. The setup supports future integration of AI and unmanned traffic management.

Both Saab and PANSA leadership highlighted the project as a major milestone in the digital transformation of Polish air traffic services, enhancing safety, precision, and operational flexibility.
