Transport plane damaged during landing at Warsaw Chopin airport

Today 22 June 2017, just after 6.00 PM, a CASA C-295 transport airplane from Kazakhstan was damaged during landing at Warsaw Chopin airport. Airport staff secured the venue. At the airport, flight operations were continuing on one single runway. There are no victims.

The Warsaw Chopin Airport staff hurried to the incident site. The situation was quickly under control and there is no danger. This incident did not cause significant traffic delays at Warsaw Chopin Airport.

Preparations for towing away the airplane from the site of the incident began after one or two hours. The runway, on which the plane landed, was checked. There is no damage.

Operations are taking place on one runway and are carried out according to schedule. This incident did not cause traffic delays at Chopin Airport.

The aircraft has been towed away from the airport manoeuvring area, assisted by the airport vehicles and staff. The airport then resumed operations on the second runway.

The air traffic was uninterrupted.
