Due to technical issues in transferring flight relevant data amongst EUROCONTROL and Austro Control (air traffic control) flights have to be delayed or cancelled at the moment.
Austrian Airlines had to delay and cancel a large number of flights on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Long-haul and charter flights are being prioritized. Austrian Airlines assumes that the problem will be solved today in the evening. Nevertheless, there may be an impact on tomorrow’s air traffic. We advise all passengers to check the status of their flights on www.austrian.comor www.viennaairport.com before departure to the Vienna airport.
