Tromsø Airport was temporarily evacuated Friday evening after a piece of luggage was flagged during a security check as potentially containing explosives. Police were alerted at 18:09, and the bomb squad in Oslo was consulted.
The item was ultimately deemed harmless and legal, and its owner was cleared of wrongdoing. The airport reopened just minutes later at 6:15 p.m., though delays were expected as all passengers had to undergo security screening again.
Police are not pursuing a case, but maintained patrols at the airport following the incident.
