Cambodia has opened Techo International Airport (KTI), a new state-of-the-art gateway for the capital that replaces Phnom Penh International Airport and introduces the country’s first fully digital end-to-end passenger journey.
Developed by Cambodia Airport Investment Co. Ltd. (CAIC) with the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation and powered by SITA’s next-generation airport systems, the three-runway hub will handle 13 million passengers annually in its first phase, with capacity rising to 50 million in later stages.
Travellers can benefit from self-service kiosks, automated bag drops, biometric eGates, and real-time baggage tracking, while SITA’s operational platforms provide the airport with real-time situational awareness and data-driven decision-making. With 29 airlines already connected through SITA’s common-use systems, KTI positions Cambodia at the forefront of smart, scalable and sustainable aviation in Southeast Asia.
