Singapore Changi Airport achieved a historic milestone in 2025, handling 69.98 million passengers, its highest annual total ever, representing a 3.4% increase year-on-year. Aircraft movements rose 2.2% to 374,000, while airfreight throughput climbed 4.5% to 2.08 million tonnes, marking one of the airport’s strongest cargo performances on record.
China emerged as Changi’s largest and fastest-growing market, with passenger traffic up 12.2%, driven by robust demand and multiple new routes. Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia and India completed the top five markets, while Vietnam and Japan also posted strong growth. December was the busiest month, and 20 December 2025 became the busiest day ever, with more than 223,000 passengers.
Connectivity expansion was a key growth driver. Thirteen new city links were added in 2025 — the most in a single year — including first-ever direct service to Ulaanbaatar, strengthening Changi’s role as a leading Asia-Pacific hub. Two new passenger airlines joined the airport, and the freighter network expanded with new and reinstated services, boosting links to China, Europe, Southeast Asia and the United States.
Cargo growth was broad-based across exports, imports and transshipment, supported by strong global demand for semiconductors linked to AI, electric vehicles and cleantech.
Entering 2026, Changi Airport connects over 170 cities in 50 countries via around 100 airlines, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s most connected and resilient aviation hubs.
