On 25 September, Pisa Airport was evacuated and closed due to a big forest fire close to the airport. The airport, however, briefly reopened in the evening.
On 26 September, it has been decided that the airport will remain closed for commercial traffic. Several airlines were forced to cancel their flights to and from the Italian airport.
For information on flight delays and cancellations, please contact your airline.
