Phuket International Airport is preparing for a surge in arrivals this winter as TUI Group ramps up its operations with 10 weekly direct flights from Europe during the 2025–2026 high season. The expanded schedule, running from 2 November 2025 to 16 April 2026, is projected to bring around 61,000 passengers to the Thai island.
The new flights will link Phuket with key cities across Northern Europe and the UK. TUI Fly Nordic will operate services from Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Gothenburg, while TUI Airways UK will connect Manchester and London Gatwick. Saturdays and Sundays are expected to be the busiest days, with up to five TUI flights arriving per day during peak weekends.
Phuket International Airport General Manager Monchai Tanode said the airport currently handles 280–300 flights daily in the low season, a number set to rise to 380–400 during the upcoming high season. The airport’s maximum capacity is 600 flights per day, supported by recent upgrades to runways, taxiways, and parking bays, allowing up to 25 aircraft per hour.
