Preliminary Draft Major Development Plan released for public review

Perth Airport has reached a key milestone in its long-term infrastructure program with the release of the Preliminary Draft Major Development Plan (MDP) for its New Terminal Project. The document is now open for public review and comment, marking a major step toward construction.
The project — which includes new terminal facilities, aprons, and taxiways — will be one of the most complex undertakings in the airport’s history.
Perth Airport CEO Jason Waters said the plan represents a significant step forward in shaping the airport’s future:
“The new terminal facilities will reflect a modern, vibrant and dynamic Western Australia and will provide passengers a world-class experience,” Waters said. “We are focused on building a smart terminal that operates efficiently and safely, using technology that enhances both the customer experience and operational performance.”
The New Terminal will integrate a new domestic terminal and an expanded international terminal, both seamlessly connected to the existing Terminal 1. This will allow passengers to move easily between domestic and international services.
Designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind, the project will feature best-in-class technology to improve operations for airlines and passengers alike.
Public engagement is a core element of the MDP process. Community members are invited to visit Perth Airport’s website for more information on how to provide feedback and engage with the project team.
When complete, the New Terminal will represent a transformational upgrade for Perth Airport, positioning it as a modern aviation gateway for Western Australia.
