A powerful earthquake of 7.7 magnitude has hit the Indonesian city of Palu, on the Sulawesi island. A subsequent tsunami slammed into the city, were the earthquake already destroyed many buildings, including parts of the airport. Officials announced the airport closure for at least 24 hours (until 29 September 19:20 (UTC +8)).
