An airport fight last weekend at Nice Côte d’Azur airport has stirred up emotions on social networks: a passenger carrying a baby was trying to get more information about his delayed easyJet flight to Luton Airport; the flight was already delayed 11 hours.
Apparently, the situation got worse due to lack of information given to the passengers after the delay on the Luton-bound flight; some passengers started to complain to the special assistance provider. The passenger pushed the airport employee and he responded with a punch in the passenger’s face.
In a statement, easyJet said it was “worried” about the incident and confirmed that the airport employee is not working for the airline.
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport confirmed the violent altercation that took place this weekend between a passenger and an agent of a subcontractor company; both were taken care of by the French National Police (DDPAF), who arrived shortly after the incident. The airport firmly condemned the incident and asked an immediate suspension of the airport employee pending investigations. The CCTV cameras will -after investigation- determine the exact circumstances and the follow-up to this incident.
