Munich Airport will serve 220 destinations in 70 countries during the Summer 2026 schedule (29 March–24 October), with 90 airlines operating over 206,000 flights, boosting both long-haul connectivity and European coverage.
Long-haul expansion is led by Lufthansa, which is increasing frequencies to Johannesburg, São Paulo, and Seattle, while deploying the larger Airbus A380 on Mumbai services. EVA Air will upgrade Taipei flights to Boeing 777-300 aircraft, significantly increasing capacity.
Middle East connectivity will grow further, with Etihad Airways expanding its Abu Dhabi services to three daily flights, while Royal Jordanian resumes Amman flights and Gulf Air increases its Bahrain service to daily. North Africa is also strengthened, with Royal Air Maroc adding frequencies to Casablanca.
European expansion includes new destinations such as Ajaccio and Calvi (Air Corsica), Bristol (easyJet), Strasbourg (Volotea), and Bucharest (Animawings), alongside additional leisure and regional routes. Capacity increases are also seen on key routes, such as Copenhagen (SAS) and Istanbul (Lufthansa).
Overall, the summer timetable reinforces Munich’s role as a major European hub, with broader global reach, higher capacity, and an expanded mix of business and leisure destinations.
