Munich Airport brings Oktoberfest celebrations to its terminals

Share

Munich Airport is marking the 2026 Oktoberfest season with Bavarian food, festival beer, live music and traditional clothing displays for passengers and visitors.

From 2 September to 4 October, a pop-up store in the Munich Airport Center will sell dirndls, lederhosen and accessories. Additional Bavarian-inspired collections will be presented by New Yorker in Terminal 2 and adidas in the MAC Forum, while a styling lounge will offer traditional braided hairstyles.

The airport’s Airbräu brewery will launch its own Oktoberfest on 19 September with the ceremonial tapping of its house-brewed festival beer. Live music and a special menu of Bavarian dishes will be available during the celebrations.

Traditional gingerbread hearts will also be distributed to travellers as part of the airport’s programme, which begins before the opening of Munich’s city-centre festival and extends across public and airside areas.
