Discover Airlines will increase its service between Munich and Windhoek from three to five weekly flights starting in April 2027, responding to strong and sustained demand for the route.
The airline will add new Monday and Thursday frequencies, bringing its Munich–Windhoek schedule to five weekly flights operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Combined with daily services from Frankfurt, Discover Airlines will offer a total of 12 weekly flights to Windhoek from Germany during the summer 2027 season.
Together with sister carrier Edelweiss Air, which recently launched seasonal non-stop flights from Zurich, the Lufthansa Group will operate more direct flights to Namibia than ever before.
Discover Airlines said Windhoek has remained one of the strongest-performing destinations in its network since the route was first introduced when the airline launched operations in 2021. The expanded schedule is intended to provide travellers with greater flexibility and improved travel options.
Flights from Munich will depart at 21:40 and arrive in Windhoek at 07:35 the following morning, with return services leaving Namibia at 20:35 and reaching Munich at 06:30 the next day. The route will continue to be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which are scheduled to receive the airline’s new “Ocean Blue” cabin interior from 2027 onwards.
