Málaga–Costa del Sol Airport reached a historic milestone today, handling 25 million passengers in a single year for the first time. The record was hit at 13:30 on 28 November and celebrated with a group photo involving the entire airport community, along with a tasting of Málaga’s traditional “crazy” cakes for nearby passengers.
The achievement highlights the airport’s strong growth in 2025, driven by both domestic and international traffic and renewed confidence from airlines.
Aena reaffirmed its commitment to continued development, noting a €1.5 billion investment planned for the 2027–2031 period—set to become the airport’s most ambitious expansion since Terminal 3 opened in 2010.
