Labour court of Madrid has postponed the security staff strike at Madrid-Barajas

[Update 15:00] The sporadic strike actions between 22 December and 8 January 2018 at Madrid-Barajas airport have been postponed by the Labour court of Madrid.

Despite the mediation of the Labour Institute of the Community of Madrid Prosegur staff, who provide security services at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport voted today (Wednesday) to carry out sporadic strike actions between 22 December and 8 January 2018.

The first wave of sporadic strikes, from 28 November to 11 December, was called off. But at a meeting yesterday (Tuesday) security guards and auxiliary workers voted in favor of the strike. The voters request the improvement of the working conditions.

Originally the strikes where planned between the following hours:

  • 5:30 am – 6:30 am
  • 10:30 am – 11:30 am
  • 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
  • 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

But have now been called off until further notice.
