Flight disruptions at London Heathrow, one of Europe’s biggest airports, this morning following earlier runway lighting issues on both runways. Several long-haul flights were forced to wait at their respective airport of departure.
Heathrow’s biggest customer British Airways quickly activated contingency plans but expects to operate its full schedule today, albeit with some delays.
Whilst the airport authorities are continuing to monitor the situation, passengers are advised to check their flight status before travelling: https://t.co/soqDdQjYT1.
