London City Airport is expanding its winter schedule with a new British Airways CityFlyer service to Madrid, operating 11 times weekly from 1 December. The airline will also resume winter flights to Innsbruck, alongside popular ski routes to Geneva and Chambery, with additional alpine access via Milan and Zurich. For sunseekers, services to San Sebastian and Ibiza continue year-round.
To highlight these additions, London City has launched a targeted digital marketing campaign through SkyScanner, Google, Meta and more. CCO Andrew Hodges said the expansion reflects strong leisure demand, which now accounts for 60% of airport traffic.
Recently voted London’s Best Airport, London City continues to emphasise speed and convenience, with passengers able to reach the gate in as little as 10 minutes. The airport has also submitted an Airspace Change Proposal to allow operations of the Airbus A320neo, paving the way for more leisure destinations without increasing flight movements.
