Planes are stuck on the tarmac at Lisbon airport amid a failure with the fuel pumping system.
Portugal’s flagship carrier, TAP, said there were 14 of its planes on the ground and all planes without fuel were unable to take off. Some flights have been cancelled.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Due to a failure at Lisbon Airport, all flights from various airlines are constrained.
Brussels Airlines flight SN3819 towards Lisbon was forced to divert to Porto airport this evening.
The airport authority admitted it did not know when the problem would be resolved.
But passengers have taken to Twitter to complain.
