Liege Airport ranked among world’s top 5 cargo airports

Share

Liege Airport has been nominated as one of the world’s top five cargo airports by Air Cargo Week during the prestigious Transport Logistic & Air Cargo Europe 2025 trade show in Munich. The award celebrates airports that excel in infrastructure, logistics, customer service, and innovation in airfreight operations.

CEO Laurent Jossart likened the recognition to the “Oscars” of the cargo industry, noting that Liege now stands alongside major global hubs like Singapore Changi, Dallas Fort Worth, Seoul Incheon, and award-winner Hong Kong. In 2024, Liege handled over 1.16 million tonnes of cargo, its second-best year ever.

The airport’s ongoing €500 million Master Plan is driving expansion, innovation, and sustainability, with growth in both airline partners (from 41 to 48) and logistics providers (from 50 to 57).
