This Friday, May 24th, 2019, a Board of Directors of Liege Airport SA was held to examine the social conflict at skeyes and to take decisions with regard to:

– the current status;
– the steps taken by the Airport Management;
– the “Walloon Front” initiative taken by the Minister of Airports Jean-Luc Crucke;
– the legal actions undertaken by CAL and Lachs. The airline and the handling company based in Liege Airport brought an action in court against skeyes on May 16th.

At the end of the discussions, the Board of Directors mandated the Management of Liege Airport to join the court action of CAL and Lachs and introduce a request for “voluntary intervention” in the case. The aim is to obtain compensation for the past damage (impact on revenue and deterioration of the image) and the damage that Liege Airport would suffer in the future due to skeyes failures.
