Liege Airport (LGG) reported a 23% year-on-year increase in cargo volumes for the third quarter of 2025, handling 334,956 tonnes of freight compared with 272,210 tonnes in Q3 2024.

In the first nine months of 2025, Liege Airport handled 961,640 tonnes of freight, securing its position as Europe’s leading “full freighter” airport and maintaining leadership in flowers, e-commerce, and horse transport.

Over the longer term, data from France Aviation Civile Services show Liege among the world’s top five airports for freight growth between 2019 and 2024, with a 29% increase—a testament to its sustainable and multimodal logistics strategy.
