Uni-top Airlines has added a new all-cargo route from Liege to Wuhan utilising a Boeing 747-400F.

The service will leave the Belgian airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, arriving in Wuhan the next day using the 747-400F with a capacity of 110 tonnes.

Uni-top was established in 2008 and is the first private Chinese airline to independently operate long-haul cargo aircraft.

At present, European manufacturers of automobile parts, particularly from Germany and the UK are using the route to ship to China. Similarly, Chinese companies specialising in electronics, fashion, and machine parts have been facilitated in shipping their products to Europe on the route.

Uni-top says an “Air Silk Road” across Europe and China is being built, which will be an economic corridor in the air connecting Europe and Asia.
