In February Krakow airport serviced 362,650 passengers, viz. 17% more than last year. In the last month, it reported 2,997 flight operations, i.e. 10% more than in February 2016.
Good figures in the first months of the year is the result of the large interest in new connections, for example Geneva, in the ongoing winter season. In February, the number of passengers to/from Geneva increased by 10%, which means that almost 2.5 thousand people per month flew to the Swiss city known as the “capital of peace”.
Last month, Krakow airport based carrier Ryanair has announced a total of 15 new routes for the winter season 2017/2018 and thus for the first time in the history of Kraków Airport, it can offer 100 destinations on four continents.
