Katowice Wojciech Korfanty International Airport welcomed 960,878 passengers in July 2025, a 13.4% rise year-on-year and the highest monthly total in its history, surpassing the previous record from August 2024.

Regular flights (Wizz Air, Ryanair, LOT, Air Dolomiti/Lufthansa) carried 363,703 passengers (+15.2%), while charter flights handled 594,243 passengers (+12.6%). Aircraft movements totalled 6,378 (+13.9%).

From January–July 2025, the airport served 3.97 million passengers (+14.7%), with both regular and charter segments showing strong double-digit growth. Movements reached 29,754 (+10.4%).

President Artur Tomasik announced Wizz Air will base a seventh aircraft in Pyrzowice in spring 2026, adding six new routes – Porto in autumn 2025, and Faro, Brindisi, Maastricht, Lamezia Terme, and Bra?ov in spring 2026.

With 7 million passengers forecast for 2025, Katowice Airport is on track for its best year ever, retaining its status as Poland’s leading charter hub and a major cargo gateway.
