Last Friday, a passenger on a Ryanair flight from Ibiza to Madrid filmed a baggage handler opening a suitcase and pocketing a speaker while loading luggage onto an aircraft. The passenger alerted a flight attendant, who then contacted the police. Police officers got the man to confess before returning the stolen item back to its owner, a teenage boy traveling to Madrid with his mum.
The baggage handler – who started his job only three days ago – has allegedly been sacked by its employer and will face trial.
