Air traffic at Eindhoven Airport was disrupted from early morning until half past ten on Sunday morning, due to technical problems at the local control tower.

Eindhoven Airport warned about flight delays and cancellations due to technical problems. And indeed, the Transavia flights to Ibiza and Rhodes and the Wizz Air flight to Banja Luka were cancelled.

The Ryanair flights from Rome Fiumicino, Malaga and Warsaw Modlin were diverted to Weeze. The Wizz Air flights from Sofia and Bucharest and the Ryanair flight from Dublin were diverted to Maastricht.

Air traffic was resumed at half past ten. It was not disclosed how the technical problems in the control tower arose.
