Two drones fell in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Wednesday, injuring four people, according to a statement from the Dubai Media Office. Despite the incident, authorities confirmed that air traffic continued operating normally at the airport.
The injured include two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national who sustained minor injuries, while one Indian national suffered moderate injuries. Emergency services responded quickly and the injured were transported to hospital.
Officials said the drones “fell” near the airport, though the incident comes amid ongoing regional tensions and drone attacks linked to the escalating conflict involving Iran and its regional adversaries.
Dubai International Airport, one of the world’s busiest hubs for international travel, remained fully operational following the incident, with flights continuing to depart and arrive as scheduled.
The event is the latest in a series of drone and missile incidents affecting the Gulf region in recent days, raising concerns about aviation safety and regional airspace stability as the conflict continues to unfold.
